Shame about the rain. We're leaving Norway because of the rain. Looks like we'll be leaving Denmark also :( ... and Germany??? What's Holland like atm .

I think there is best part of a week of dodgy weather in the Northern countries, after that we will be hom and it will most likely be OK.

Saying that it's been a nice day today in Bremerhaven.

Its been a while since my last update, we left Bremerhaven heading to Bremen with the promise of a nice stellplatz very close to town basically on an island in the river and access by a little foot ferry boat or walk via the bridge, the stellplatz is in the trees which was not good for solar and with the rain falling from the trees in the wind it was very noisy oh and did I mention the trees were oak trees so with all the acorn falling down it sounded like the Germans were getting there revenge for what we did to them.

The ferry boat worked well.

The town of Bremen was nice enough with a big square etc, we didn't get to do the rathaus tour as the day we thought we might it was peeing down so we moved on.

and of course, well it would be rude not to.

In the next installment we will move to Northern which was a nice enough little place with a typical stellplatz and right on the border with the Netherlands so we stocked up with German wine at Lidl and Aldi before moving.

So now we are in the Netherlands at Delft a, B awful journey with wind and rain branched off trees hitting the van and it was chucking it down, nutters on the motorway and still chucking it down when we arrived, it wasn't a good start when we arrived to find a 3.2 metre bridge:mad: we are big enough but the Concorde behind was even bigger so we found a detour(y). Arrived at the campsite we thought we were going to use and dashed into reception to be told sorry you are both too big for the camping site but if you think you can get on the Stellplatz OK, well you could certainly get a 8 metre van on so we had to squeeze into the bushes a bit but we managed.

After walking around the site this morning I think there was space but most of it was grass and underwater.

Delft has a couple of churches the largest is very old and they call it the Nieuwe Kerk (new church) you can buy a ticket visit both churches and climb the tower at 377 steps,

And a hell of a view from the top BUT by this time Mrs funflair's legs were going a bit wobbly and she looked decidedly unhappy.

We were lucky enough to be on the clock section just on the hour as this big brass drum started to turn, it has pegs pushed into holes which operate the strikes of the bells for different tunes a bit like old computer punch card, (well thats a semi educated guess at how it works)

Well we came out of the site restaurant last night about 9:30 and it was raining:mad: and it's still raining 12 hours later, and the forecast is it will get heavier(n) so Delft might not be getting another visit today, although we still have a ticket to visit the second church and a free cup of coffee(y)

Whatever happens we are on the boat tonight.
