That’s sounds fine until you get a gust of wind that lifts the awning over your roof, which will be quickly followed by your tool box, which will fly up until it reaches the end of the guy then drop down through your roof and end up on your bed.
I hope this doesn’t happen, but you would be surprised at the weight an awning can lift in a strong gust. Look how fast a heavy sailing dingy can go!
At the hint of any significant wind our awning gets wound in. It is not often one cannot find shade on one side of the MH.
