Hi my son is building his own van conversion. He wants to add an awning and use the Lilypad Windblockers to make a safari room.

Looking at awnings online it's difficult to see if they will be suitable and have the right groove the Lilypad's utilise.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

He doesn't want to spend a fortune, a 2.5-3.0 mtre manual wind unit would be great

TIA

If you mean into the front panel of the awning, ours just slotted in fine into both Fiamma and Thule awnings. At that time the side panels attached to a modified line washing prop which went along each side, but I think they may have changed that arrangement to sprung poles. You also need to bear in mind the heights - their website gives details of that. We passed ours on to friends when we got a van which had the awning set too low.
