Awning front sun shade? (10 Viewers)

Saw these last year on site in Itaaly and said that looks just what we need. Anybody got any views? Are they a godsend or another (never to be used again) piece of rubbish? What type have you got/recommend? We have a Fiamma 45s I think about 3.75m.

We did have a solid Fiamma front shade ages ago but only used it once - it seemed to make the air hotter, presumably due to reduced circulation.

We have a semi transparent one, for us it’s a game changer. It brings shade but allows some air to circulate.

We have a Thule one which filters the sun but allows air to still circulate and you can see through it. Easy to slide on to front of awning. Excellent addition.

Another one for the Lillypads, sat with them when raining, not drizzle and hardly got wet, and great sun shade. More importantly light and don’t take up up much room.

We have a fiamma one. Good but quite heavy. It adds to the wind stability of the awning as well as filtering the sun. It is see through from the inside but much less so from the outside so good for people watching without being too obvious.

We have three Flexi-Shades sun blocker which are 1.4 metres wide rather than just one long one as we find using either one, two or the three gives us more options.

Yup, lilypads here too, used the front one in Italy recently and it really made a difference between "I can't sit out here any longer" to "it's quite pleasant out here" and, made quite a difference to the temperature inside the van

Have the Thule ones, great, when i can be bothered to put up? Certainly not for a one night stopover…

We use Lilypads. When it's very hot and the sun is on the awning side of the van we sometimes use a couple of tent poles at the corners to extend it out and let more breeze through. They also work well, as others have said, in rain.

A few mention Lilypads but I can't find a simple front of awning shade on their website. Don't want anything too heavy, over complicated, or time consuming. Just a siple front of awning shade that can easily be put up and down as required.

Looked at them. My problem would be that I need two and a half.

OK, thanks all for telling me you love yours better than such and such but it would help even more to say why. I would really appreciate some reasons before I takre a blind punt on Amazon. Thanks in advance.

We have the charcoal Lilypad Windblockers, they provide very little relief from strong sun in our experience.
