Hi all.
I have a acted L187-DRS series 7 TV.
The picture display has flipped upside down for some reason. I can't find any options to turn it back the right way...
On the later models there is a mirror image option in the settings but on mine there's nothing.
I have also had a look on the hidden 2580 menu from Source and tried a reset from there and its still downside up

Any ideas anyone - other than turning the TV itself the wrong way round as I can't do that!
Richard

It looks like it’s a problem with onscreen display could there be a setting for that in your settings?🤔

No scaler output anywhere. 7343 doesn’t do anything only 2580 but nothing there eirher
Try this ..
Turn tv off using the remote and then turn back on.
Press 1-1-4-7 on the remote.
If you see a panel settings option select it.
Scroll down to mirror and change it.

This is known to work on many Chinese TV's but not sure if it will on Avtex.
Nothing to lose in trying it.

I reckon you have one that was specifically made for the Autotrail drop down fitting?🤔

Sorry I meant to say press MENU followed by 1-1-4-7

Don't know how LCD screens scan but on the old CRT tubes you can swap two wires round on the yoke.
Anybody know the LCD equivalent?

my setup page is older than that.
I will need to ring them tomorrow, it was fine last time we used it so not sure why it’s switched round - definitely no settings anywhere to fix if

That corresponds with my search. If it is the one intended for an Autotrail it can't be altered.
I’ve got one removed from an Autotrail and had no issues changing the screen within the settings menu . I will try and look at the settings when I am back in the van later 👍🏻

He's said it previously worked OK, but has changed somehow, so presumably not an autotrail upside down version.

If that were the case…..how did it turn itself upside down between uses?
As Swifter said you can mirror the Autotrail version so it may have somehow changed its self and reverted back to its default setting🤔

Looks like your going to have to resort to turning the tv upside down for the next 130 minutes…..then speak to Avtex tomorrow…….luckily their staff won’t have an England game hangover tomorrow morning.

No idea. The info. I found mentions one version that can't be altered and a later one that can via a menu option.

It does appear the series 7 TVs have a difference in the hidden menu to the Series 8 .

Can only be a setting change. Assume that you have tried YouTube?

Good luck 🤞

Hi all - thanks for all suggestions etc.
I spoke to Avtex and they where not sure why it had flipped - they confirm there is no setting on the 7 series but they sent me a later version of the firmware - when I updated the firmware it went back round the right way so all sorted now

That’s absolutely brilliant. Can you just inform us of the process of updating the firmware and update this thread with a picture of the menu to show the new revised firmware number .
I am so pleased this has been resolved . Well done Avtex 👍🏻

Pleased to hear it is sorted. Puzzled about the use of the word “mirror” which is swapping left to right but does nothing for top to bottom. I use a mirror image on my rear view camera but that still leaves the road at the bottom, which is quite helpful.
