Rally August Retreat in the Cotswolds ***FULL ***

Good morning. I am working today, but hope to be with you at about 6.30. Depending on the dreaded M5 traffic.

I would like some eggs, if there are any left.:)

Karen
Good morning Karen,

Don't worry we have a space for you whatever time you arrive.

If you are coming down the M5 from Gloucester you can avoid the M5/M4 intersection and traffic by exiting the M5 at junction 14 and coming through Wickwar to Chipping Sodbury as you approach CSY there is a roundabout take the first exit marked A46 this will avoid the town.

Safe Travels.

John

It was a clear night last night and hundreds of stars were visible along with the ISS and a couple of other satellites. I saw 3 shooting stars .they were only fractions of a second bursts but visible. If the sky is clear tonight have a look upwards where we are is relatively sheltered from surrounding light pollution and makes the stars more visible.

We only arrived yesterday evening but our TV show picture is now up on the driver's side of our motorhome, pitch 19, near the marquee.

Prime position ready for cooking your bacon in the morning

Flying Race - the rain stopped but a bit breezy!
Congratulations to Colin and Sandra Armytwowheels for winning the longest flights, the highest flight went to Paul Two on Tour albeit rubber band assisted, the shortest flight to Lynne @Bill875, Graham bellabee runner up and Catherine parthianshot for the best twirly whirly. Lenny also demonstrated that he had tumbling skills as well as dancing !

Comedy quiz result was a tie between bellabee and Armytwowheels on 36 points but we awarded First to Graham and Chris bellabee due to the fact that Sandra and Colin Armytwowheels had not correctly spelt Fawlty Towers and Royle Family!
5 entries had 35 correct and 3 gad 34 correct

In the evening Brian treated us to a showing of the film Yesterday in the marquee. A lovely way to end the rally. Many thanks to Brian and Helen for their hard work. Together we have raised well over £250 for the Great Western Air Ambulance thanks to their providing bacon and rolls, eggs and cards for sale.
I am sure Helen will post the final total.
Safe travels everyone
