Did CITF have the decency to let you know you had a refund or did you find you had been refunded by checking your account ?

Yes we had an email from CITF on 26 July and the refund only took 3 working days, 5 working days is not unusual for refunds. Perfectly reasonable performance as far as I am concerned. Obviously disappointed by the late cancellation but that is all.

Yep a lot of scurrying around to find somewhere else, and I suspect those who were quick off the mark will have now made alternative arrangements. I wonder if I found the same place as Holly's mum which looks to be a few minutes walk from the Rising Sun pub.

I think you may be right, I hadn't noticed the closeness of the pub. It's not too far from the Sammy Miller museum either.

I got my refund yesterday after having booked in May as a backup in case we didn't get to go to France this year.

As it turned out we can go to France, but the New Forest, 30 miles away is off limits. Our refund arrived yesterday after an email the day before.

We received an email from CITF on Wednesday to say we’d been refunded but It didn’t show in my bank balance til Thursday. Just have to be patient, I’m sure they are up to their necks in refunds to transact.
