Really recommend the shop "spin a yarn" - parking is great at the visitor centre. Enjoy!Already here, Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor.
I was down there for New Year a few years ago. Walk into town (20min?) and bus back. That year they closed about a week later.Quite a few spaces at Salisbury, more in lower field than in upper…….View attachment 569086View attachment 569087
best time for wild camping no ones got time or inclination to bother youAmazing how many Funsters use their campers in winter - even in cold UK. We have always SORNed ours from November to March, and huddle down in our house for winter projects, but this post has inspired us to think differently and make use of the few sites that are open and the space heating facilities in our Bessie and tour a bit in winter. Thanks
The site is staying open and not closing at the end of December this year, although, if you try to book on the C&CC SiteSeeker app., it tells you that it is shut……so you either need to ‘phone or book through the C&CC website……I was down there for New Year a few years ago.
