Are you camping for Xmas ?

Are they busy there..???

Just fancy getting away over the new year, if possible,,, and Salisbury is no to far..

Thanks.
Quite a few pitches at the moment old-mo - I’ll check with the wardens to see what availability is if you like?

Amazing how many Funsters use their campers in winter - even in cold UK. We have always SORNed ours from November to March, and huddle down in our house for winter projects, but this post has inspired us to think differently and make use of the few sites that are open and the space heating facilities in our Bessie and tour a bit in winter. Thanks

Looe Country Park. It's a long way from Durham but more than twice the temperature with no ice. Beautiful area and very interesting roads with van and trailer = 39 feet.
First time down here and very pleased.

Sitting on friends drive in Sitio de Calahonda, Cost del Sol. At the mo, absolutely tipping it down. Merry Christmas everyone.

I was down there for New Year a few years ago. Walk into town (20min?) and bus back. That year they closed about a week later.
The site is staying open and not closing at the end of December this year, although, if you try to book on the C&CC SiteSeeker app., it tells you that it is shut……so you either need to ‘phone or book through the C&CC website……:xdoh:

(also checked with the wardens, old-mo , and there is plenty of availability after the New Year:xThumb:)

Yes, in the van on our drive because I just tested positive - bad timing unfortunately!!!

Is that just another way of not having any arguments over Christmas and a sneaky drive out by yourself? (to test the van, of course?)
Might seem like a good idea to some?? :xrofl:

Still at Hudson’s Fields - a beautiful afternoon, walking by the ‘Secret Spitfire’ memorial, with the mist arising as we got back to the ‘van……..:xThumb:
