Are my batteries definitely gone??

As I have said many times a CCA test is totally useless for testing a leisure battery.
When I worked at the shop we used a different tester for leisure batteries, and were tested for fully charged and then discharged, then full charged & float charge, there are many different testing procedures and testers, and people can use a smart charger which can give a good indication of the state of the Battery.

But most workshops who test batteries use a CCA tester which gives no indication on a battery used for leisure. They won't do a slow discharge test as it involves a fair bit of time.

I quite like this forum, there are some interesting threads, there are some amusing threads. there are times when one feels that one can help others less able than oneself.

There are also times when one feels, why the hell should I bother, there are always one or two people, on any forum, who regard their opinion as 'Gospel', and will not tolerate any divergence from their opinion. I find such opinion arrogant and intimidating.

Roger, there are many members on here that are experts in their field and their advice can be taken as gospel Raul for instance is an expert in solar installation, eddievanbitz is an expert in motorhome security, there are also electrical experts, gas experts etc. There is a difference between being arrogant and being authoritative.
