I could transfer them money.

I most certainly still have my slide rule from when I was an apprenticeYour not going to tell us you do not have a quill...or slide rule or abacus
Having your cake and eating it there aren't you?I can go months in-between visits to the ATM, and nearly always that is because I'm using a local tradesman who will do me a better deal for cash.
Those that say 'cash only' are not likely to get me as a customer, and I presume are laundering cash and avoiding HMRC.
I most certainly still have my slide rule from when I was an apprentice![]()
you can keep it in your wallet, but still need to scan the Tesco club card at checkout . to get your points ...Does anyone know if you still accumulate Tesco points if you use Apple Pay with your Tesco CC in the wallet?
Ian
I’ve always assumed you do but if I’m in Tescos paying I scan the Tescos phone app as well . If you pay by card they do it twice.Does anyone know if you still accumulate Tesco points if you use Apple Pay with your Tesco CC in the wallet?

I assume you can track and wipe a google phone remotely as per an iPhone?Always been a strong advocate of google pay and not used cash or cards much for several years now but yesterday i lost my phone in Thailand. It's a nightmare. Cannot access any of my banks, or my email. Fortunatly my wife is more careful so we have access to funds but i just spent half the night on the hotel reception phone ringing the bank of every card i can remember i have on google pay and those that i have downloaded apps for.
One thing i have learned is to bring a second device with you, tablet/computer, as accessing google on a new device is impossible without a your phone. I didnt for the first time this trip. Currently on my wifes tablet but I will have no access to email or whatsapp/sms for another week. Could be an interesting experiment.
P.s. why does my wifes tabl3t not dod predicitve tex5, punctiua5ion, etc!!!!!!
Yes , if you set it up correctly and have working wifi and data. Not for me sadly.I assume you can track and wipe a google phone remotely as per an iPhone?
Ooh now, I think of CC as my Tesco credit card and when I said my phone I meant I scan the Club card app first and then pay with Apple Pay. So I’m using my phone twice.maybe I've misunderstood... is CC the Tesco Club Card or Credit Card ..?
YupHaving your cake and eating it there aren't you?
I went to the shops. Blimey, why didn’t I do this before! So easy.I’ve always avoided the add to wallet but now reading comments I’m convinced it’s the way to go. I’ve just put my cards into my Apple wallet. Shops next.
Fair enough, but I can't help but wonder just how hard was it for you to pay the old fashioned way?I went to the shops. Blimey, why didn’t I do this before! So easy.
short arms deep pockets makes getting at the cash hard, my mates normally tip me upside down to get the coins out of my pocketsFair enough, but I can't help but wonder just how hard was it for you to pay the old fashioned way?![]()
If the old fashioned way is cards, then I no longer need to carry a wallet bulging with bank and other cards, spoiling my trouser line.Fair enough, but I can't help but wonder just how hard was it for you to pay the old fashioned way?![]()
I think there are still members who take the cow on a halter to barter for produce. If the old fashioned way is cards, then I no longer need to carry a wallet bulging with bank and other cards, spoiling my trouser line..
it was only contactless payments that were affected ,..In Todays Telegraph:
An “error” in an overnight software update has left Sainsbury’s unable to take contactless payments in stores or fulfil online food orders. Tesco said it had been forced to cancel a “small proportion” of deliveries because of a “technical issue”.
Just thought I'd throw this into the mix.
It says "all stores remain open, and that chip-and-pin and cash payments are working as normal."
That would include phones, surely.it was only contactless payments that were affected ,..

Sainsbury's technical error leaves grocery orders cancelled and stores unable to accept contactless payment – here's what we know
Sainsbury's says it's unable to deliver the majority of today's (Saturday 16 March) online grocery deliveries due to a technical issue, which is also affecting contactless payments in some of its stores.www.moneysavingexpert.com
