3 years 30,000 miles UK and Europe.. Campsites and off Grid.
Just booked for a few nights in June. Just concerned by the bit shown below. I did asked but didn't have any reply or confirmation. Anyone had an experience of this - don't want to get a PCB after paying £45 a night.

Just for info.. From recent posts and search for sites reviews you can stay on the docks car park for £18. No facilities..
We stayed at Albert docks a few years ago, very handy for the city. 👍

We were going to stay at the £18 docks car park recently but as it is just a car park we used the Marina instead. Good job we did not stay there, as when we passed the dock car park at 11pm it was full of lorries unloading equipment for the exhibition centre that is right next door to the park. With all that activity and lights, I doubt that the campervans staying there had a good night's sleep.
The Marina was a few quid more, but well worth it for the peace, facilities and security provided. Yes its a faf sending your confirmation to the parking company - but no big issue..

Correct. It is incredibly simple.

Yes, I understand this and have done it but I haven't received any confirmation that they have received my email and noted my reg etc. Did you receive any confirmation or do I just have to trust that they have received and taken note?

That sounds good but I've already paid for the marina. The marina doesn't have any facilities either as far as I am aware so it does appear expensive at £45 a night.

The marina is quite a bit more. £45 for 7.5 metre space at the weekend.

Well, you do get a card giving you access to showers, toilets plus there is grey water disposal and fresh water. £45 is about the going rate for somewhere with good access to a big city.

You can park near by for £18 but that is just a public car park.

I’ve just emailed them with a query to the email below displayed on their website and received back a delivery failure notification, how strange so your no reply may be about right for them. Surprising though

mail@liverpoolmarina.com

PS
Just checked and noticed their website email link is faulty and the address should be reception@liverpoolmarina.com
Hope I get a reply now

The email address concerned is for the parking enforcement company - clientwhitelists@smartparking.com. it seems to have delivered ok. I just would have expected a confirmation that they have received my info.

We used it for a couple of nights in may. Might be pricey but location is second to none.
Sending your registration number clears you on the APNR system (the place is riddled with them). You get an email back from them in a couple of days.

Southport and train in would be my choice, not saying anything wrong with the marina but gives you a bit more scope and a bit quieter at night.

Ours was £25 per night mid week, so the upgrade from an unsecured car park to a fenced in site with facilities, coffee shop, bar and restaurant was well worth the extra £7 That was in November and I am not sure if it is more expensive for mid week during the summer..

Depends on length of van and week verses weekend I think.

Using it to attend a concert at Anfield so wanted to be nearby.

Just be careful in the area. As you come round the bend with the marina in front of you, there is a car park on the right. I've seen that car park strewn with broken glass obviously as a result of windows been put through. When I'm up delivering or loading a boat there it's all taken care of by Bluepoint Marine which is further up from the marina and it's secured gated parking.

The lads in there told me the very first time I went there, not be tempted to park my truck in that car park if i was arriving late and if I ever did come up in the motorhome to park at the marina, to still be vigilant as there are a lot of "scallies" in the area.

When we stayed there a couple of years ago they had toilets/showers and they gave you a £10 voucher off food in their pub/restaurant.

from what i have read there is a 6ft fence, 24hr security and CCTV.

Hi All, Is 7.5 metres the maximum length vehicle allowed, or can you book a 9 metre vehicle? Cheers.

Stayed there this time last year. Great spot. Easy 20 min walk or bus along to Albert Dock etc. We didn't use them, but good toilets, shower, and cafe/bar which did good breakfasts and evening meals. Felt safe.
