Originally bought tyre savers which are relatively inexpensive (set of 4 on eBay £25) but now we have self-levelling which has a feature to take the weight off.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
In 40 years I've never used any sort of tyre cushioning and I'm not aware of any resulting tyre issues. However, if the m/home hasn't been used for about a fortnight I take it out for around a 20 to 30 mile run just to keep everything 'loosened up' and to scour any rust off the brake discs and I assume that when returning the tyres never come to rest in the same position.
It would seem that you're new to motorhoming so be aware that many motorhomers' garden sheds are stuffed with 'essential' items. ;)

Dont laugh, its not soft furnishings for retired tyres, nor the spanish inquisition. They are also labelled "tyre savers", here is the link, came across it while explorering differnt security options:
Other versions are available on ebay and amazon at various price points :)

I bought a pair of these, available in pairs, to sit the spare wheel/tyre on in the MH garage.

Previous MH sat for long periods over 8 years, never an issue with tyre misshaping.

However roadster sat for 9 years developed misshapen tyres, that after 500 plus miles at higher speed driving has brought them back to round.

I got completely the wrong end of the stick with this, I thought it meant something shaped like a tyre for storing other stuff in

I saw it called ovalisation.... do you suffer from ovalisation.....
and yes £250 for 4 molded rubber mats, seems excessive but they did mention specially designed!

Don't see the point it still has the full weight of the van on it. Snake oil comes to mind.
Easier to take the van for a drive every few weeks.

Used these for 10 years. 5 to 6 months at a time never had ovulation.
Someone is buying them!
