Just seen this on the Knaus FB page, the guy was complaining about how untidy his firestick was plugged in plus the power cable. He was asking for suggestions when someone told him to remove the small back cover as he’d find a white stick from Germany and remove it, plug his FS in and all need and tidy.

A few have since commented to say theirs is the same so I’ll check tomorrow, would be handy as we need to remove FS when pushing tv away.

If you check the photos it appears that the black cover for removal is on the TV itself ...

Great tip, I will be checking my avtex tv later

Great tip, thanks. My Avtex must be too old as it doesn’t have this compartment.
But my Firestick just plugs in underneath the tv and isn’t in the way.

Sorry it's not velcro, it's this stuff which we think is better. We also use it for the remote controls. Which stay in place when on the move.

Well I just had a look at our tv as I have the same van as the guy who posted it on FB, our tv must be different as no small bit that you can remove just the whole back of the tv removes, I did remove the bracket to check underneath.

Ok I have just reread his post, the white stick according to him is what makes the tv a smart tv, you take this out and replace it with firestick. I assume if you don’t have a smart tv then it won’t work, ours isn’t a smart tv.

Did I not read somewhere, a cautionary tale, not to leave a firestick plugged in, nor powered, whilst not using it? Apparently it can still hoover up your data even when in standby, doing upgrades or maintenance or whatever.
