Has anyone taken out the extended Fiat warranty when getting a new van?

If so how much was it? Dealer just said you have to purchase it in the first 14 days.

Wonder if its worthwhile if not extortionate

Just to let everyone know that Fiat have just launched a new product called Complete Care. In addition to being an extended warranty it covers all service costs for the duration of the package. That also includes all consumables at service time. The standard warranty only is £952.80 for 5 years whilst the Complete Care package for 5 years depends on mileage. 25,000 miles is £1436 plus VAT, 50,000 miles is £1802 plus VAT and so it goes up to 125,000 miles. I bought the 25,000 miles package which effectively will cover 2 services plus MOT. At present a 2 year service is approximately £400 from a franchised dealer, which is necessary as I understand it to maintain the extended warranty if you take it so it remains to be seen whether I will save money as labour and parts costs increase. Incidentally, the warranty is fully transferable on sale. If anyone is interested ring Gary Rogers on 07843 833158 as he is fully clued in on this and can organise it all for you.

Do you know if this also has to be taken out within 14 days of new registration, or is there some other period?

This too like the extended warranty has to be taken out within the 14 day period. They have to see the V5 to confirm the date and they are really strict.

Just paid for the warranty this morning. £952.80.

Have to say Jo at Adams Morey is very helpful as other posters have said.
Did Jo say if the roadside assistance and recovery covered all 5 years? There has been a suggestion that there is a gap in the cover for year 2 and this doesn’t seem to make much sense. See #41.

No she confirmed year 2 has no breakdown cover. You still have it for year 1 and years 3-5.
I agree it makes no sense but I have to have Green flag for the car so an extra £25 to add the van for that year

Agree - Hot off the press.
Received my contract details this morning, there is no Fiat Assisatnce for year 2.

"Please find attached the contract, invoice and payment details for your new motorhome Fiat 2+3 year extended warranty. There was a change last September in the terms of the Fiat roadside assistance, recovery and repatriation package provided with the original warranty now only has a 1 year cover. The extended warranty still has a year for each year the warranty has been extended by. In your case 3 years."

The Fiat Assist for 2nd year ended in September 2024.
I think I must have got lucky, took out the warranty late October last year.
Contacted Adam Morey who confirmed I was NOT covered for year 2.

Then later read the contract (I know I know, should have checked first )

- SUPPLY EXTENDED WARRANTY
ADDITIONAL 3 YEARS, TO TOTAL 5 YEARS WITH MILEAGE LIMITATION IN
EXTENDED PERIOD OF 60, 000 MILES

2.1
-EXTENDED CARE PREMIUM CAMPER WARRANTY
Stellantis will warrant all components of the Vehicle supplied and fitted by Stellantis and provide roadside assistance service up to the maximum time or mileage limits for the Vehicle ("Extended Care Premium Camper Warranty") as set out in the CONTRACT OPTIONS of the order form

This morning I called Fiat Assist and because I have ‘Extended Care Premium’ I am covered with roadside assistance for the full 5 years
