Autosleepers Symbol
As mentioned in my introductory post I own a 20 year old A/S Symbol. The insides are still in great condition but it is falling apart everywhere else. I don’t want another Autosleeper because in my opinion, although they were the best British converter, they have now gone from bad to worse.
Wanting one of the new vans with the low emissions, I have ordered a Wildax Pulsar which on the surface looks good, solar panel, lithium battery, diesel water heater, 90ltr compressor fridge, the only lpg used is on the cooker with a 20ltr uderslung tank should last years.
I am now having second thoughts about this having heard some bad tales about the quality of the fittings.
I’m not an occasional user, before Covid & the Brexit disaster I was living in the van 5-7 months of the year.
So if anyone on this forum owns a Wildax, I would extremely grateful for any information on this marque.

You can see from the screenshot I posted above that it is set to visible (bottom right corner).

I've no idea why you cannot see it. Some quirk of FB? Does it work if you scan this QR code?

Thanks for this, but all I got was the following message 😞

spigot I have a Pulsar but it's a 2017, pre-Rapido, 5 metre, no volt pack, so has different fittings; so unfortunately my info wouldn't help you. Sorry.

Think it might have been removed? Can’t find it on FB at all….
Works for me, though I’ve no interest in joining…. 😏

I was looking at all sorts of vans when I cancelled my order for a Murvi due to no build date on the horizon. I ended up buying an East Neuk Fifer XL, which I’m extremely happy with.

Sorry I cannot help with the Wildax notes comparison, but I’m sure you will love your Pulsar when you collect it! 😊👍

Had East Neuk had an M model with automatic or be able to get one in less than an estimated 2 years. we would definitely have gone for that. Darren was so good and clear to deal with. We viewed one a few weeks ago when in Scotland and loved the van especially the light feel, but although the Citroen manual was light, we do want an automatic.

Indeed I get the feeling that Wildax seem to be one of the very few short van converters to have access to the 9 speed auto base. Perhaps they took a chance on forward orders?

I see you have a Malibu - was it just a change of layout?

We were very happy with Darren and Dave, very helpful and straightforward to deal with. And the van is superb. We were lucky to find it, especially with the auto box and high spec. base vehicle.

We did have a Malibu 540. Didn’t get on with the fixed bed/front dinette and the quality wasn’t all that tbh. The Fifer is in another league.

Enjoy your van when you collect it.
