NO cus local Tesco in Trowbridge £1.93

Paid that at discount shell/Esso on the A303 2 weeks ago.

The psychology of getting us to accept £1.70 a litre as cheap is working then
The covid bill has landed on the mat

I paid £1.99.9 per litre for diesel in South East London today.

Complete rip off.

There was an article in today's Telegraph saying that in 2 weeks the cost of filling up will have dropped by £10.

I thought diesel will ALWAYS be 10 p cheaper than petrol.

In Slovenia, EVERY garage in the country is the same price, it was €1.68.8 per litre in June!👍
When we lived in Cyprus many moons ago, fuel was the same price right across the southern half of the island, which I feel is a fairer way of pricing.

On our way back from Drax Jim, we managed to get diesel at £1.80, at a BP outlet right on the A1 at Colsterworth. BP are usually the dearest outlets along with Shell.

We are lucky enough to normally get our Autogas at £0.70ppl from Flogas. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

In our town,Macclesfield,a few years ago, there was a complaint that all the garages that sold fuel where in a cartel and fixed the prices as they were all the same. An example was cited in that the local Tesco fuel was some 5 p dearer than a Tesco store some 8 miles away.
The Tesco manager of the local store advised that he only had to be competitive in the local area. o_O

Just over a week ago, it was £1.90 in Tesco in Bury St Edmunds, so I've not seen any significant drop yet and my local BP, always a bit pricey, is still £1.94.
