Was about to leave for an MOT this morning when the dreaded airbag ecu failed.
I have a new ecu on the way, but it will need a proxy alignment via a DiagBox or maybe a Snap-on diagnostic scanner.
Not having any luck finding anyone around me, and the Peugeot main dealers are idiots that have not got a clue what I'm talking about.

Not quite on your doorstep, but not a million miles away either.

Cambridge Vehicle Services specialise in campers (although they do general work too). Might be worth giving them a call, although their waiting list is usually quite long.

It's long because they do a good job at a fair price and don't set out to fleece you. When I had a diesel runaway moment with my Sprinter, they had a look and confirmed the engine was beyond economical repair and didn't charge me for the diagnosis.

I'm guessing you've tried Marshalls St Neots, Peterborough and Cambridge, but there's also York Ward & Rowlett in Wellingborough and Richard Sanders in Kettering who might be worth approaching. I have no experience of them directly but they're the nearest non-Marshalls places to you.

Hi . I cant help with the proxy alignment, but do sympathise with your problem . Mine has just gone as well and apparantly it can't be reprogrammed and needs a new ecu. Where did you buy your new ecu from if you can advise please.
I would have a similar issue with proxy alignment as my local Peugeot garage doesn't want my van in as it's too big for their ramps despite me advising it can be sorted without ramps.
Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, I had a hunt around for a new OE one and ended up buying from these guys.
You will need to make sure that the one you buy has exactly the same part number as your original unit

Hi Paul, we did hear that there was a faulty batch of Seatbelt ECU's fitted to vans in the 2017/18 era, and has been discussed many times having them re-flashed didnt work or even if it did work the unit would fail again after a short time, with no refund offered by Crash Data.
I then took heart in that the new ECU's supplied by Fiat had a different part number, and of course hoped and assumed they were upgraded to fix the problem the originals had experienced.
I suppose we can only guess if the new units supplied have been modified to sort out the problem, even if its only got a 12/24 at best warranty.🤞
Good luck with your new replacement, it really is a pain in the rear to see the same problem appearing after all these years have surpassed, and across all the different manufacturers that use the same platform.
Why the new replacement units need to be re-proxy aligned is another con, they should be plug & play, like for like as they are doing the same job.
Best wishes.

Cheers Paul. Will have a look.
its the proxy alignment that's the issue.Finding someone to do it.
Northern autotech also sell a unit but that needs proxy alignment or he can do it in situ but in Morcambe. They appear to be very helpful .
( just checked the price on that link.. OUCH!. Then plus the proxy alignment)
Ps it's the same part number as mine BTW.

Can't remember ;)
No idea if this is any use but Lisa put it on the Drax for sale
Fiat Airbag module.
Brand new but tried on my van before it was decided that another Fiat professional garage had supplied the wrong one. Had such a bad experience that I never went back for a refund.
I’ve since found out that it’s possibly for a 2017 onwards but please check this out for yourself using the code shown.
£150 as seen.

Hi Terry, many thanks for your message and offer, but unfortunately it's a different part number to the one on our 2013 van.
