Yes what is it with this idea that you should stand on a slippery varnished box above the water line instead of on the slatted safer bit at the other end. Actually I have just worked it out for myself, in Cambridge they like watching novice punters fall in.

Thanks again for all of your suggestions, we only had x5 days and dodgy knees but we got quite a lot done.

Waterperry Gardens - Day 1 Friday

A stroll up the Thames (or ISIS as they call it) into town - Day 2 Saturday

Day 3 Sunday - Botanical Gardens then a Pub meal

Day 4 - Monday, Open top Bus and sightseeing before super Chinese meal at The Old School (Yum).

Day 5 we rested before trip home!

The canal goes past the castle and then on to Jericho.
