Anyone changed to a better solar controller and how ?

Went and looked at the display yesterday. Leisure battery was 13.4 and engine battery 11.7 ! the solar to Leisure was 0.5 amps . So I did as suggested by Diablo and turned the little black button off , let it rest for a minute and turned back on . The panel then said 13.4 for both batteries and the solar to Engine was now 2.0 amps . I’m thinking that the system had indeed got its knickers twisted and wasn’t doing its ‘Smart ‘ thing until I gave it a kick up the backside . Also the engine started first turn of the key with plenty of oomph from the battery.
Conclusion ?
The display is telling porkies . The engine starting ok when it was only supposed to have 11.7 volts leads me to this conclusion.
The Sargent system is a pain but does seem to re-set when prompted .

Action ?
I’m seriously thinking of fitting a votronic standby charger to give a little charge to the engine battery for those times when the smart system loses its way.
