We try and avoid shopping in France, as it's so expensive. We take enough with us to get to Spain and shop in Mercadona Jaca, before we hit France.

Try Lidl but unfortunately no fuel

Tried it once overnight, wouldn't do it again, not for us. To be fair it was very convenient to be able to walk the dog down and get her checked in at passport before then driving through but my morning walk across the parking area dodging multiple puddles of water coming from vans put me of.

Six croissants for a € from the just about to close bakers went down well though.

Didn't see any characters around though.

I don't like Lidl, I much prefer the Mercadona supermarkets in Spain.

I find them a bit posh and more expensive than Lidl
