Any hints on stopping rattles?

At long last we're 7 days away from getting our first van. We're well aware of using tea towels to help keep rattles to a minimum, which is all very well in drawers and lockers.
What do you do with the fridge? How do you keep things from sliding about. In fact what do you actually keep in fridge while you're travelling?

I'm not sure you will ever stop rattles.
Turn radio up or as Renee did in "allo allo" put cheese in ears.

No - I'm sitting totally rattle-free on a site near Alnwick .

Most of my options are already covered.

Fill the fridge with supplies or as I do, keep the smaller plastic drinks bottles, wash them out, they are very light and make great padding in the fridge and elsewhere. I keep a number of food storage boxes, again light and make good silencing and packing material, bubblewrap is very useful and my shopping bags.

Childrens socks - just slip things inside them to stop rattles and surface damage, and cheaper than chips at pound shops.
Also if something does break, tie up the end and chuck away !

I have fitted bungees on the plate rack, and felt pads on the cupboard doors and rubber matting , works a treat, some people call it Ocd, i say its peace & quite.

This plastic, cut to size, divider system from IKEA works for us. Some in a plastic basket for jars and oils etc, some in a top cupboard for mugs and glasses.

My fridge is packed so tightly with food - sausage/bacon/cheese/eggs/sauces/frozen pot-luck meals/milk etc that nothing moves

Buy ten canisters of expanding foam, knock the tops off them all.... Chuck in the van shut door and wait 15mins......

Our AutoTrail rattled everything like mad. It was a proper bone shaker.
The N + B Arto is quiet as a mouse in comparison.
In the AT we bought multipacks of those little sponge backed scouters for the sponge but and used them to stop rattles from plates etc in those metal racks which are never the right size.

Being a relative newcomer, when I got my old Hymer and bought these flexible tubs from Home Bargains - they are great for cups / plates stood up etc. Mainly they are in the overhead lockers. Some are complete, others have been trimmed to fit the half size lockers and others have had a piece cut out so I can get things out without getting the complete tub out. I don't seem to have any rattles.

I've had a small one in the fridge but its a small fridge so not much movement anyway.

I cant get into a cool bed - that's my necessary hot water bottle ( cover) - a baby monkey was quite polite !

I've remembered another;

The cardboard tubes at the centre of kitchen rolls and loo rolls. Fold them in half and they make lightweight paddling and wedges.

For plates, I like ceramic crockery and travel with four dinner plates and four side plates.

I bought five cheap tea towels, sewed them together along the long edge, slide a plate into each pocket at one end, a side plate into each pocket at the other end, fold one over onto the other, protected crockery and no rattles.
