I am after some help in getting a set of silver screens from the Beverly area of East Yorkshire down south, any help would be greatly appreciated, I am not in any hurry to get them even if it needed to involve more than one funster with the transportation, some beer tokens will be offered.

I never understand these sort of threads, if you have a motorhome ,why not make a weekend away of it and fetch them yourself?

We hope be travelling to Thirsk (possibly overnighting in York) the second week in January and to Portsmouth the following week if that helps.

Ian

We are doing scarborough to abbey wood day after boxing day if that helps

You’d be better off getting them posted. I live about 20 miles away from Beverly centre, don’t go there very often but would be willing to help out if needed. I’m away at the weekend though for a week to Oxfordshire m

We travel down to Henley a few times a year & at Portsmouth ferry in March.

Keep me in mind but as I said they’d be much better off posted by someone. I posted a big set off once and it was really cheap. Will the seller deliver locally?

I'm in Cottingham not far from Beverley, happy to sort out packing & posting them to you if you can get the seller to drop them off.

Can’t you pop over for it on the scooter? 😎

Thank you for your kind offer, that could well work out well, I will message the seller & get back to you as soon as I get a reply from him as sometimes he is a bit slow replying, Martin.

Have you any idea how far it is from Bridport to Beverley & back???? It's around 290 miles each way so not just a 'weekend' jaunt!

That’s quashed that image then. 😎

Ian
You've got me wonder what kind of image you had! Are we talking mobility scooter, kiddies scooter, electric scooter, motor scooter? :giggle:

Funnily enough ... many, many years ago me and hubby each had our own scooters, we went to a car boot sale at the other side of town and bought a load of stuff including a buggy (pram) and a large beanbag ... hubby rode back 'sitting' on the buggy (he was VERY careful about bumps and potholes!) and I strapped the beanbag to my back and looked like a massive turtle!

6 hours each way, we do more than that fetching tractors in , in one day mostly.

Martin, we're just going away for tonight, back sometime tomorrow afternoon, send me a PM if you want me to send them to you as I might not look at the threads to see if you've replied.

If the seller able to put it in a bag. I think EVERY will collect and deliver for about a fiver. I bought a Humax from a very kind Funster and I think that is what he did.

Hopefully all sorted, I should be taking possession next week all being well then wrapping it up ... Poor Martin hasn't experienced my wrapping skills ... He'll need Krypton Factor ability to get into it! 😄
