Any body interested with the Oxford patriot Seat lock?

Thanks Kev, Stickers arrived today and look really good. Well done sir for helping those that were interested in them. So cheap and so easy to get them from you. Good guy!

Thank you to Motorhome Fun for being there and Thank you Kev and Carolyn for the idea.
Have adapted it slightly for Spanish Reg'd Motorhome.

Hi Chase

Oxford Patriot make a Motorbike lock that fits through the Brake disc. A number of us have fitted them to the swivel on the seat mechanism to prevent it being turned and driven off . A theft deterrent really. The only issue was that I thought the decal in the side window would help . Oxford Patriot do not supply them as yet but are considering it now its been put to them.
The decal was the first attempt from a guy DazGrafix . The problem being it was misspelt! He has accepted the c..k up and are now being reworked/replaced as we speak. Will be supplied tomorrow actually. Basically its a decal for the side window..like an alarm decal etc

You could always say that the stickers were developed for the American market! 😁

Hopefully they will get to you. I have had a failure with one set and a stamp that came off  but I think thats ok now?
If they have not got to you by the weekend I will have to refund now sorry. I have no more left . I can possibly get a couple sent to you direct by the Graphics guy if they have failed to get to you ..let me know

Sorry for the problem.

Kev

Ok thanks Kev. Nothing here today but hopefully they will arrive in the next couple of days.

Thanks

Paul

Got 20 decals left guys if anyone interested?
Just pm me if you wish.

regards Kev

I only needed a standard 2.5mm thick washer as the seat base is 7.5mm thick.
Bugger...they build those Hymers well! :giggle:(y)

Kev

PS...any chance of a Picture Lenny? Makes it easier for folks who might still be thinking of having one.
Ours being a 'Cheapy' Auto trail Fiat x290 .. has only thin stuff for seating. Every bit helps .

The seats and bases are Aguti. One fitted I still get full range of adjustment rotates to almost 90° & full back & forward range. Rotates a bit more than I would like but position of fitting was limited.

Im looking at it Lenny that that is a particular arrangement for your type of vehicle would you say? Most the X290 x250 versions are really just Tin plate set ups. As you say though.......double check before making up a washer for it. As long as the washer prevents a Angle grinder getting in..the better

I think the "Tin Plate" ones are the standard Fiat seats and bases. If you have the optional Captain seats like the Aguti, the seat is much heavier and the base more substantial. These seats are standard or optional on most German vans.

With the 2.5mm thick washer on mine there is exactly a 1mm gap, any tighter I don't think you would be able to get it done up.

I've just removed the O ring from the pin it makes it very easy to lock and unlock now, it was a pig before.
I found that the slight resistance of the O-ring stops the pin falling out before I've turned the key.

They do make 1mm grinding discs!
Im guessing that your average "Joe" or "Itinerant" will have something the size of a sledge hammer or if they rally are keen...a big disc!(y)
Just trying to picture the robber with his tool kit and a spanner trying to change the disc because its too big? :giggle:(y)

Have a look at post #40 of this thread. (y) 1mm disc in it by the way.
