Anti Bacterial Flush

Thanks I might try that. I always drain it all down after a trip and leave taps and tank open to dry. I put Aquasol in the tank for 24 hours before a trip and then change the water. There aren’t usually any problems.
The problem with emptying the tank and opening the taps is there will still be some water in the pipes which won't drain away or evaporate. This is the water which allows the algae to grow.

What I do is put some water purification tablets in the tank on returning then run the taps until the treated water comes through - you can smell and taste it when it does. Then leave it for 24 hours, run the taps again to flush out any bits and drain down.

hi I have just booked my Hab Check and they offered me a water system flush which they say will remove a bacterial film that can build up in the water pipes? Apparently it is necessary if your moho is warranted but as mine is 2004 that’s not relevant.
Does anybody have any input on this treatment and whether it will be worth paying £100 for it when having the Hab Check or £200 separately?
Sounds like another con..Busby.

If any funster wants this special “flush” doing to their van I’ll only charge £100 so a saving of 50%.

I’ll even smile whilst your paying in cash and I’ll wave you off down the road

Well AWS did my Habcheck and all went ok. The man who came never mentioned an antibacterial flush. (spoilsport my guns were loaded) In fact he was highly professional, very helpful and a really sweet guy. His name was Kane and he had driven from Nottingham that day 3.5hrs.
The vinegar is in the tank. Thanks for all the advice folks much appreciated.

I thought as he was very professional he was Kane and able!!
