Another toilet thread, as I know you love them.

A quick one really.

How long do you leave between using and emptying? Do you need to leave a sufficient amount time for the chemicals to do its stuff and break down the toilet paper and the unmentionably numbers deposited within during the course of a few days away?

For those interested I have a Thetford 365 and have been impressed... so far.

When I said we ,I of course mean husband as it is of course a 'blue job ' Surprisingly for him he never quibbles over doing it ,but I think its more to do with the fact he likes to find people to talk to

I would empty any time i could even after 1 night as we rarely stay on a site and rely on finding a public toilet or disposal point

Same here. Empty when the opportunity arises. Otherwise don't worry, unless it fills up.

Pink job in our van..I work in care so it doesn't bother me in the least!!
We do however empty at every opportunity as very rarely on sites..
I sometimes wait till public loos close for the night and use a Radar key to open the disabled loo..obviously I make sure no one is waiting and I make sure the facility is cleaner than when I found it..
We were recently in Northern Ireland and I asked a toilet attendant if I could empty the cassette and he unlocked the disabled toilet for me ...

Ours is emptied when the light comes on. Or sooner if we don’t know when we will be anywhere with a black water dump or out of the way public loo. Usually every couple of days.
Definitely a blue job in this van!

Daily if there is somewhere to empty. I use bio liquid so cheap. Dont rinse as that helps the rapid breakdown of the next load.

Did have a bit of a smile after my first night out in the van at Aachen, watching the procession of people walking past with their cassette’s.
First time I’ve witnessed this ritual
Got home after 3 days and the tank was at 7%
