Another quick B2B question...sorry!

Being a non techie and MH novice (12 months ago bought a SH MH) what is this b2b thing? What are the reasons to have it and how can you tell if you have it or not? Thanks
Go and visit Eddy Nobitz in your home town - he'll fill you in

A B2B thing is a device for faster charging of your leisure battery when you are driving. The reasons for having one depend on how you use your motorhome and whether you have any battery problems to solve. If you regularly overnight away from a mains hook up and your leisure battery keeps going flat a B2B might help. If you only ever use sites with a mains hook up you probably don’t need one.

If your vehicle is Euro 6 with a smart alternator then a B2B may have been fitted because smart alternators play havoc with leisure battery charging. Until September last year many Fiat chassis for motorhomes had the smart alternator function disabled despite being Euro 6 (they were probably cheating along with everyone else). Not sure what they did with van conversions.

If you want to be sure what your motorhome has contact the constructor. However if you are not having any problems then don’t lose sleep over it and just enjoy your motorhome (when we are allowed to).

Great bit of advice, thank you. Just what I wanted. I have 2 leisure batteries and 2 solar panels which do the job in the summer. Thanks again.

The advice to suck it and see is very sensible. I fitted a B2B after a trip along the Mosel in the autumn. It was sunny but the sun was very low in the sky. Few of the places we stayed at had EHU and we didn't drive far each day. We struggled keeping the batteries topped up but we still managed although a B2B would have been useful which is why I subsequently fitted one. Just see how you get on. 😀
