Another issue....Fridge supply burnt out

That is a perfectly simple failure that can be easily and permanently repaired. I certainly wouldn't consider replacing the board.

PS Just seen the white block on the pcb burnt out, not good sorry to say. If I was still working I would recommend a whole new pcp, why, because any repairs may still be susceptible to failure unless you get a minimum of a five year guarantee in writing from the repairer. Remember you paid a lot of dosh for your motorhome, so why take the chance on a circuit board repair.
Thanks, part no longer available, trying to source a secondhand one as a potential spare (If its the right price) but struggling to find anyone that has one.... Unless its the same as another make model??

2bob, is that recommendation for repair or replace?

RJ if that was mine, I would carefully unsolder each spade terminal on that affected block and remove it. I would buy some thick wire to put through each vacant hole in PCB and apply fresh solder. Then with the section coming out I would solder in new spade terminals and very carefully fit the new block to them one by one.

this is the guy,

i know this is not your pcb but he does lots so may be able to help. does most by return.

Spoke to Dave at QER, sent him some pictures and its on its way to him for repair

Thanks all

Cost is set at £39 and I choose to upgrade postage at another £5 for a tracked return, it also cost be £8 to post next day, so fingers crossed £52 should get me back up and running, thanks all again for you input, help, hugs and advice

he done a job for me by return, also when i gave him a job he could not do money less return postage was refunded immediately.

Sounds good, what guarantee do they give? Please remember when you get your PCB back check to make sure the lead ends fit firm as possible.
Good price as well.
all the best

According to the link posted the repair is guaranteed for 12 months.

Standard time is that. I used to give a year guarantee on all parts and fitting of those parts providing the receipted Invoice was shown. sometimes because the customer could not produce that I charged, then would re-fund on production of the invoiced receipt.

I had exactly the same problem several years ago on that board, like yours only the fridge connector was fried. I bypassed the board completely and put in a new seperate relay to power the fridge, all properly fused and switches power on and off with the engine, just like the original. No need to get the board repaired, and don't forget a replacement will have the same weak point.

Board refitted, all working  .

Repair not the prettiest (He did let me know that before I sent it to him) but all good. I would like to get a replacement plug as it would still fit, anyone know where to get one?
