So why didn't you make that clear in your opening post instead of , it would have made the answer much easier.
what’s the difference in people who have a tv in their mh and watch that in an evening, and him playing on his xbox in an evening?
Yup.If you get 60v then your van will be in big trouble
Already been proven that there's no correlation between violent games and violent temper in real life.I think the x-box takes over the mind more. It creates an alternative universe where he may be god and controls everything, very violent - then his poor fried brain has to come to terms with the real world.
I'm sure this is connected with the knife violence culture we are seeing today.
Just my opinion, though I think many have the same opinion.

Think you may be under the wrong impression about people that play games

If you say so......That's an amazing sweeping statement.
60V for a few seconds is part of the qualification testing procedure for anything that works off a vehicle electrical supply. If you get a bad connection between the alternator and battery, the voltage can spike to this level. It's rare, obviously, but you wouldn't want all your electrics including your engine and brake computers to blow because of a foreseeable bad connection. If you get 60v then your van will be in big trouble

Every now and again I read posts from recently signed up members and doubt whether they are fully "in tune" with the ambiance on this forum...

Ahh right comedian
Presumably you had to change all that was 12v?Transient spikes can happen while starting the engine. I fried a chip once ?
I changed the chip and fitted a couple of suppression components ie 17v Zener diode and 10 ohm resistor, plus a couple of other changes. Everything else electronic in the car will have defences already.Presumably you had to change all that was 12v?
Expensive ??I changed the chip and fitted a couple of suppression components ie 17v Zener diode and 10 ohm resistor, plus a couple of other changes. Everything else electronic in the car will have defences already.
