Hi all

first time away in our Adria Matrix it seems we can only use either the oven or the hob when I try turning both on they both cut out is there a way to solve this ??

thanks

I meant to add .. full gas bottle and hob cover up both work independently

What sort of gas system do you have? Sounds like it is low on pressure. Normally a problem with low temperatures and butane, but could also be caused by being low on gas, a faulty regulator, not opening the isolation taps enough or blocked jets.

cant be jets if they work independently i would think low pressure

yep i agree with some above "low pressure" regulator probably gummed up. if its the secumotion type then they do become a problem.
how old is the regulator?

we have a Adria Coral and had to change the secumotion after just 18 months.

Oven AND hob, you having anything nice ? :tounge: (tinned potatoes and a Fray Bentos pie doesn't count)
And whats wrong with a Fray Bentos pie and Spuds? ..........tinned carrots too! MMMMMMmmmmmmm!

Sorry I digress.....Regulator as stated..possibly gummed up and in need of a clean or replacement.

I've got an Adria Vision & had to change my secumotion regulator as well.

If it's a low pressure problem......I doubt the boiler will work either as that has a high gas demand, especially if it's Truma blown air.

Hi MH is 2 years old but only done 3600 miles oven hardly used we have a Gaslow system with single cylinder

I’ve not tried the Alde heating

Just checked all the books we have a Truma Monocontrol CS regulator

Good chance its the regulator.
Is the regulator mounted above the top of the cylinder as if they are too low it causes the regulator to gum up as any oily residue can't run back down to the bottle.

I have a Matrix and do not think it is an Adria problem but is more likely to be as indicated above. I have my gas fridge freezer on and the cooker at the same time as my Alde heating system with no problems if that is an indicator. One or even two gas cylinders should not affect your pressure. The problems indicated above can occur on any van and has often be discussed here. Possibly the gas has not been as clean as it could be, with oily deposits present or so I have read.
Nil desperandum

Hi there. I have the same/similar set up on our truck. I had a fault with my regulator just in front of the tank . The pressure reading should have been something like 30mb (I think?) however..it was only 15mb? The regulator had been gummed up but also..some of the rubbish in the tank had been pushed through into the regulator reducing the pressure right down!
Replaced it and all was fine

Regards Kev

The regulator is a Truma 2 years old but it’s not been used much by previous owner

It will be this one underneath the truck by the tank. It should be 30MB as stated. Just check the pressure from it first before condemning it

Age is somewhat irrelevant, the problem is most likely as others have suggested is that the regulator has been contaminated by an oily residue, a problem most often associated with autogas refilled bottles.
It is possible to clean out the regulator to get you going but best to replace, ensure that the regulator is higher than the bottle and that the hose approaches the regulator upwards.

Truma regulators have a particular reputation for clogging up.

Does your boiler/heating work okay? If so then it would indicate a problem with the cooker/hob piping, if not then its either the reg or low pressure due to the temperature being too cold for it to gas properly.

I had exactly the same problem. It was due to the bulkhead regulator being gummed up with oily deposits. It was only 3 years old and hadn’t been used that much. Use the opportunity to replace with a better quality regulator. I fitted a changeover regulator, works brilliantly.

Question... can you use a change over regulator with one Gasflow and one Calor ?
