another CMHC moan

Good Morning

Iā€™m not sure what the fuss is aboutā€¦ we have a proper hot tub at home which we love and use regularly.
When we considered the pros and cons of motorhome life Mrs_in _npton said she would miss the hot tub evenings. Amazingly I have sourced a kind of portable one called ā€œLazy Spaā€ works just the same but folds fairly compactly into a box. Our new ( to us) Motorhome has a bike rack but we dont have bikes so with half a dozen bungee chords it fits on there ok. Only used it once on our trial weekend recently, one snag I didnā€™t have a long enough hose so we had to fill and use it at the freshwater tap by the loos. It was a nice way to meet other motorhome and caravan folk, although some were a bit off about it, I assume they were the caravanners?
If we get the TV fixed and a longer hose I can envisage many an open air hot tub cinema type experience. Think we going to enjoy this motorhome lark!

Arrived at a site on Friday all looking forward to a good few days away. Pulled in, parked peg on to how it should be making sure my door was facing the right way.
Set up, got my hot tub out and filled it with water from the site facilities, took me ages going back and forth with buckets. put a good chlorine dose in and gave it a few hours. Plugged it in to my van so using my electric and heated it up.

got up nice and early on Saturday morning, got me towels ready and jumped in, turned the bubbles on and the guy pitched next to me came over to moan about my dog barking?
what do people expect? I was in the hot tub? how was I suppose to deal with her barking? Nikki should have reacted but as it was 6-30 am she was still asleep.

I mean, I am live and let live but the way the guy was ranting, it was like he would have had the dog shot.

are there any dog only sites out there? places where people actually won't mind my huge Newfoundland barking?
Is this an old April Fool?

Think I would have punctured you hot tub. Allowing it to bark at that time is disgraceful.

Oh you are so funny Paul. You certainly know how to stir up a conversation. I can almost see it now with folk who don't know you....hairs up on back of neck, dog owners wanting to support you..until they see 0630am, some wondering 'do they really allow hot tubs' and then those that know you.:rofl:. It's only Paul's sense of humour.

Hot tub bubble makers are too noisey! Couldn't you gaffer tape a pipe to the exhaust, stick the open end in the water, run the engine and put a weight on the accelerator pedal to keep the revs up?
And give the dog a bone(y)

Not sure the hot tub does bark, makes some strange noises though, not sure why you would puncture me either?
I'm a decent bloke

haganap Do you still use your 55 inch tv next to the hot tub the one with a sound bar .
No.. I've gone for a projector. Where the awning is...I've replaced it with a pull down screen and stand the projector on a bit of 4x4 straddled across the hot tub..
In fairness I think the dog barks as she's scared it's unsafe?

haganap Paul do you remember those big projectors we had at Shell Island a few years ago on the side of the vans and projecting ABBA o. The side of the vans, we had not quite got up to the Hot Tub standard yet, but I'm sure it can be worked on.
Have you taken the Hot Tub to Italy it would be good when you finish the Iron Man.

Can't believe some of the folk on here have they not read the Forum Name. :Eeek: :dance2:
