Ye gods, last time qw used the CMC website to book took a couple of mins.

Thia afternoon took an age, still unsure why they wanted my inside leg measurement before processing a booking.

Used to quote the CMC site to the CCC as a much better offering, , , Alas the CMC have caught up with the CCC and achieved nothing of use to the members (other than to stop "might fancy a stay here costs nowt to cancel" future bookings to be cancelled 72hrs before so no one else can pre-plan).

As you now know, the new CAMC website requires a date of birth for the lead traveller.

This morning, when I tried to book a site, the only way of entering my DOB was to back-arrow through every month. As you can imagine, at my almost-pensionable age, this would take for ever!

Has anyone found a way round this? There doesn't seem to be a way of entering the date manually on my android tablet.

Last June I had exactly your problem trying to book a ferry crossing back home whilst in France and it took me over 2 hours to resolve. Its a bug in their IT system. I eventually found that if you touched the year box it would allow you to scroll years.

I made a formal complaint and eventually they agreed to give me 2 nights site vouchers. You would think that would be the end of it but this is the C&MHC IT system! I'm still waiting for the vouchers to arrive now, nearly 5 months on - they claim they can only send them by email but they never arrive so emails go back and forth and even using a different email address they haven't arrived.

It would seem nothing changes because this same thing happened to me a few years back so it's obviously a random but intermittent issue.

Could I suggest you also make a formal complaint (preferably without mentioning me!). If nobody complains then as far as they are concerned there is nothing wrong and members like us will continue to have these frustrations for ever and a day.
