Correct, until you stick it in your mifi etc and turn it on it will remain 'dormant' - the countdown on time only starts from when it is first used.

Depends where you get them from - direct from '3' they are £30 but like most things you need to shop around to find the best deal.

Do you have to be in UK to activate ? Sorry if that is a dim question ! As just wondered if worked in Europe too !

It does work in Europe, but they may well stop it working if you use it for more than one month at a time. I am not sure if you can activate it in Europe. I bought two of these early this year and deliberately activated them in the UK before leaving for Europe. I still have 2GB left on one and the other untouched, so I am taking them both with me when I go to the USA next week for 4 weeks, because that is another "feel at home" country.

For me it is interesting as my Orange France does not function in the rest of Europe and they do not offer any deal as good as this.

I have a Virgin contract sim in my iPhone, with 500 meg data , unlimited texts for £5 per month .. £60 per year.. but clearly not enough data when travelling..

The 3 sim with 12gb for £17 is ideal for the likes of me.. or should I say my daughter

Mine is a rolling 28 day contract it can be cancelled with 28 days notice at any time. I use it as a spare and for tethering skype to my tablet. Sounds a much better deal than this ebay sim.

So did I, but I wasn't aware my offer of £17 each had been accepted, until I clicked on the link in my ebay message. There was a small green bar which took me to the payment screen.
