This will be my first season staying on sites, help appreciated.
(1) when leaving the site and returning the same evening what is the best method of informing others "this pitch is mine", or is this allowed and/or managed when booking the site?
(2) views please on awnings, fixed or free standing for a Devon Tempest

Thank you. David

I dont get this??

How can anyone nick your pitch that you've paid for for X amount of nights if you go out in van?
Surely its yours for the duration you paid for it?

Am i missing something

Thing is you paid for "A" pitch, when you get back, you still have "A" pitch, it's just different. I guess if you really, really want the same pitch, just leave something on it and hope for the best but for me, I don't really mind, a pitch is a pitch, park up and talk to new people. Life, short, and all that!

We have a small plastic table about 24"x16" £5 which we use as a drinks table and when we leave site I lean it on its legs, because I have written "Reserved" on the underneath, works wonders and it's cheap.

Ive not been to a site yet that hasnt allocated me a pitch number for my duration.

However the good lady wife has just informed me that when we go to the New Forest site at Easter we will perhaps just be told to park up where we like??

I get it now !!

If we are ever anywhere for more than one night we have a large tent for the kids. If we are on our own, we park up and leave the van there while we have an explore..
