Hi All Andy from Italy. Moved from the UK in 2020 just purchase an old lady Fiat Ducato x230 year 2000. Not to bad needs some love, and the solar wiring checked over and some isolators installed. Had it 30min and it brock down, in garage now think its the resistor on the throttle peddle, all good fun.

Hi. Whilst in the garage get your main earth lead to battery replaced and add another from gearbox to chassis. Old vans had poor earth leads.

Thanks, the main earth from battery like a braded strap is new to the body work up by the radiator, good thick pvc coated heavy wire i assume going down to the started is ok. I will check between the gearbox and body when it comes back. I like to get my hands dirty. First dirty job clean the rad expansion tank

Italy is a great country to motorhome in.
Every sosta (aire) I ever stayed on though has a nearby dog that barks through the night but don't let that put you off.
The lakes in particular are stunning
