Amazon Fire Stick

I’ve used AirScreen to mirror my tablet to the TV screen via the Fire TV Stick.
It worked well enough until Amazon added a supported version of the app I wanted to stream from. I think that was Facebook Watch.

Anyway, I wondered what this step meant?

How To Cast Sky Go On Firestick Using Android​

Using ScreenMirror App​

1. Download this app below to your phone.
2. Connect your Firestick and phone to the same Wifi network.
3. Now open the application and click on Select TV
4. Then click on the three dots in the upper right corner and click on Enable Wireless Display.
5. You will now be shown the Firestick device.
6. Tap it.
7. Your phone screen is now reflected in the Firestick.
8. Now when you download and use the Sky go app, it will be displayed on the TV screen.

Using Android​

• First, connect your Android device and Firestick device to the same Wifi network.
• Then open the Notifications menu.
• Select the Casting feature. This varies by phone model. Below are such names.

(Samsung – Smart View, Quick Connect, SmartShare, AllShare Cast, Wireless Display, Display mirroring, HTC Connect, Screencasting, Cast)

• Tap on the Casting feature. Shows you a list of devices or items.
• Select the Firestick device and tap on it.
• Now the screen of your Android device will start mirroring to Firestick.
• Then download and use the Sky Go app on your phone.
• Sky go is then displayed on the TV screen connected to the Firestick.

How To Cast Sky Go On Firestick Using iPhone​

1. Connect your iPhone and Firestick device to the same Wifi router.
2. Now activate the Firestick device and go to Find / Search on the Firestick device.
3. Then type AirScreen.
4. Then select and install the AirScreen App from the resulting result.
5. Now go to Firestick Home and open the AirScreen app.
6. AirScreen will take you to the home screen showing the current Wi-Fi connection.
7. Now go to your iPhone and open the Control Center on the iPhone.
8. Long press on the screen mirror icon there.
9. It will show your Firestick device. Click on it. Then in a few seconds, your screen will be displayed on the firestick.
10. Now you can download and use the Sky Go app

Have you tried it and did it work? There are many of these instructions posted on the Internet by different people, none that I have tried worked and I have now given up on it, if anyone has actually got it to work properly from an android phone or tablet i'd be very happy to hear how you managed it.
