I see, but I still cannot understand how people get so worried about putting into septic tanks what they are quite happy to happy to pour over their heads.

The dilution rate should take care of any problem. If I wash my hair in the shower I use a “pea sized” drop of shampoo diluted by lots of water from the shower.

If you are prepared to rub a chemical into your scalp is it really that harmful in diluted form?

It's what it does to the bacteria in the septic tank which matters.
Chemicals kill bacteria.
Without bacteria a turd will remain a turd and will be added to by more turds until the tank is full

If I am washing my moho and any grey waste in the tank I let it drain into the street drain, do not see the problem in doing that !!
Also been told at various rallies to dump grey waste at sides of the rally field too.
