Always check the MOT History of a vehicle

<Broken link removed>

I found this and was very interested until I did the MOT check and the milage is out
Guess it was an Error, or Speedo change from KPH to MPH, but probably an Error, as the last 2 seem to correspond....

This MOT history just shows that in a 6 month peroid of its life - June to December, it covered 31,641 miles
I wonder how much of that 6 months it spent plugged into a charger?

I once bought a mini-bus ex-private hire and it was a brilliant vehicle. Eventually I was unable to get parts for it. The next vehicle was the replacement model of the mini-bus bought new and was rubbish, Soon got rid of it.

Used as a taxi or private hire vehicle?
Many local authority licensing departments require annual MOT tests, including at year one and year two.
My car was bought at 11 months old and has to have 3 mots a year regardless of age.
These are the rules of Burnley council but do differ quite a lot between council,s
The maximum age you can register a car to be a private hire is 5 years old and can only go up to 8 years of age before it needs replacing.
If you buy a large people carrier (Which i have) its max age of 3 years old to register but you can have it up to 10 years old (12 if it has a mobility lift at the back ) This is if you are plated in sunny Burnley

Mileage can be accessed from the ECU, that cannot be changed economically.
Clock may well show an "adjusted mileage" but the ECU records the adjustment and it's date.

When thinking of buying a vehicle I always check the MOT History on the DVLA

I often browse interesting vehicles for sale - on Ebay, Mathewsons etc

You can find out so much:
Annual mileage - Has the vehicle been in regular use?
Gaps in MOTs - why has vehicle been off the road?
If the vehicle has been welded at any time, then undersealed?
Reasons for failure etc

Recently saw a 2017 Nissan Leaf for sale with 125, 000 miles on the clock !
MOT history showed 50,000 in its first year !!

Says a lot about the model and electric vehicles
If you examine the <Broken link removed> of a taxi every six months, you can see if it has been used as a taxi
