Alphatronics TV voltage query

Just thought I would post an update incase anyone else has a similar problem, the Alphatronics TV did have a main board problem £500 to fix as had to go to Germany for repair... So I took to a local repair guy who confirmed a problem and could not get a new board, so I replaced it with a Avtex.
The Hymer cab speakers do not work unless you use the original power supply presumably the Caratec box must sense a voltage drop when the TV is turned on and then it powers the cab speakers, so you need a power adapter to power the Avtex TV. 2.5mm x 5.5mm barrel to 3 pin Din Avtex.

Thanks for the update, £500 to fix is painful. Maxview are agents for Alphatronics now but sadly a bit late for you.
Small BT speaker on top of the TV is easier and kinder to your batteries than running the head unit so not a great loss it not working IMHO.

Yeah that quote was from Maxview, they couldnt fix it so would have to send to Germany! and since the sound has failed from the speakers and headphone socket... so anyone need a TV? the screen is fine

The Alphatronics is not really a TV. It is an oversize tablet with a satellite tuner.

Smart is not the word I would use - but it runs on very little power at any SOC on our LiFePO4 batteries.
