My take on this..

I would go to the local "Police" station, and ask (Insist) for the Duty Sargent or the most senior officer on duty..

And explain the situation and tell them you think a FRAUD or THEFT that has taken place... and insist some thing is done..

If he comes back and pay`s you the money or returns the RV he has still committed a crime, of taking with out the owners CONSENT and if all comes out OK you will look a bit of a fool.... but you would get what is rightfully yours...

And as a by............... The name in the Log Book is NOT proof of ownership to the vehicle.........

You own the vehicle till such time as all money has been paid and a receipt given..

that's one of the problem's with open forum's

If you do decide to "go" to the Police station do not leave your property unoccupied, if you sold from home. In my opinion it would be better to phone the police and report the vehicle as stolen, asking for a crime number / incident number, and get the collar number of the officer.
