Alhambra tickets, Moho parking stop?

We went for a 3-day visit in October and on a recommendation stayed in the car park at the railway station. Secure parking €13 a day and lit up 24/7. Judging by the number of Spanish MH's & camper vans (15 day 1 - 25 day 2 and 18 day 3) they like it. We walk to the palace which is a very leisurely walk through the centre, but watch the Spanish getting into taxis and returning the same way.
Because of the virus, it was quiet, so we did not get a chance to use the high speed train at the station (limited trains) but plan to do that this year as can leave the van in the car park and go to Seville for the day.

We were in Alhambra only 3 weeks ago. Stayed at Granada Autocaravanas in Càjar. Caught local bus 180 in centre then walked last bit uphill to Palace complex. Didn't pre book tickets but paid on entry. Timed slot to enter Nazrid Palace was only 1 and half hours later so left us enough time to explore the beautiful gardens. One word of warning CARRY YOUR PASSPORTS/ID CARDS!!! They were demanded at the many control points.

When we visited The Alhambra pre-Covid in Feb '20, we parked our motorhome overnight in Car Park P-4, which is very close to the Visitor Entrance (up the hill). Ok, it is quite pricey for a car park with no facilities (€30 for 24hrs I think), but we'd not hesitate to return, it is so convenient. Book well in advance for your Alhambra tickets to make sure you can visit on your chosen day. It is an amazing place, we've been back many times and always find something we'd not previously noticed!
I too am looking at a visit around the same time. SFS has a site that looks to be not to far away and around €20 a night. The parking in the above message is done by camera recognition and I read the best way is to not book in advance but just drive into the car park as penalties to be paid if your a little late etc. and the payment machine is poorly located and delays departure. Hopefully not a big issue end of Feb but I suspect many people will choose to go at this time as tickets will be easier to obtain. More research will be undertaken before I commit.

Michael Portillo was in Granada last night on his new travel program ..BUSBY.

We stayed at Camping Reina Isbel at La Zubia, bus stop outside. Campsite got us tickets for the next day.
Found Alhambra rather underwhelming, far better places to visit in Spain.
Think you need to add ‘In my opinion’ at the end of your comment. Many would disagree

Thanks that’s helpful, moths might be flying out of mr mousy‘s pocket for this trip! A place I’ve always wanted to go to though. I’ll check out tickets now, probably end of feb or March.
It really is amazing👍

We still haven’t made it there. Martin broke his shoulder on our way down and we were forced to spend 2 months on a campsite at Mar Menor. We liked it so much we over wintered there again this year! I’d completely forgotten my desire to visit Alhambra as well as Cadiz, Seville and loads of other parts of Spain. Maybe one day, Allah and Brititix willing.

Did you pay in advance for your parking at the train station or when leaving.
