The problem with taking it for a run when it’s wet with floods everywhere is that the brakes etc get soaked and then if you just park it up for weeks/months on end it can really damage them.
Best to to try and take it for a run on a dryish day or alternatively take out again on the next dry day.

I didn’t know you could drain the hot water , but as you can’t have the heating on without the water getting hot how does it go on with no water

not challenging the much wiser replies above, just even more confused. We keep ours on hook up with temp set at 8C but always have hot water, even when well above room temp
Leaving on EHU all winter with the heating on, does that make a noticeable difference to your electric bill David?

we have huge bills already, I leave it set on 1Kw and we have smart meters

I did wonder about the hot water running all the time, but our typical total consumption is under 1Kw / hr so it doesn’t run all the time at least

so I actually don’t know but hope not 👍

nobody I know has higher bills than us though 🤔 or never admits it 😁

If you have dumped your hot water tank for winter is it still ok running the alde for the radiators ? going to pop out for a aimless drive tomorrow and was going to have heating on prior to drive from electric I have the manifold heat exchanger also
Nobody should be doing any driving in a Motorhome as if you read a Post about the persons who took their motor home for a Habitation Check got fined £200 each (see post Fined for taking for Hab check,) I thought he was good to remind us what is essential journey, and what's not . apparently MOT is not

I appreciate the point, this was only part of the journey, if I leave it I suspect we will have a lockdown here in France and it could be stuck for a month or more.

Quite right , thanks for publishing it !! I knew that Astra Zeneca jab made me lazy, by not reading all the posts , there again where ever you are, you should not be swanning about in a Motorhome or any other vehicle for pleasure or anything else if it's not essential , you could wind up dead for a long time , that's 1 in 10 for over 75's

Tony, Sorry but life does not stop, if its legal and I am acting in a safe manner It s fine. Going out in the Motorhome is going to make ma dead how? We have zero interaction with anyone at all. If they are so dangeroous we should sell them all right this instant.

I agree Life is tough for everyone , I am probably selling my Motorhome as not seen for 6 months and we are hopefully completing house buy, apart from being a care for my wife for a few more months, we all have problems , but I look at life like this fortunately for us there has always been someone with worse problems than us which is unfortunate for them , "Cheer up we are a long time dead"(y):giggle:
