Alde 3010 electric heating not working

It took me hours to disconnect everything and move the boiler to access the panel

They really are not easy to work on, our technician wasn’t looking forward to swapping ours if it needed doing

I did ask him about our gas burner, luckily on ours it’s accessible without boiler removal and ours looks good

Drained water off, 10 seconds as suggested , he reckons we should do similar every few months

Nice one David.

In your photo above, our burner is located on the far right hand side of the boiler, behind a panel, (at right angles with that black flue pipe), but the boiler was so tight to the wall, you couldn't access the panel screws, nor enough room to withdraw the burner assembly.
Fortunately, one of their former senior technicians Graham Cuttmore (now retired), was able to advise at the time by phone.

Another nice touch, technician gave me back 2 removable fuses from our old board, saying now you have them you won’t need them but as a colleague used to say I would rather be looking at them than for them justifying carrying every possible spare he might need
