Rally Chat Alan Kerr Rally

Love rallies. No need for leccy. Love hog roasts but some don’t. It’s all about fitting it in amongst other commitments.
Would come if it fits in.

Debz and I would definitely be interested, be nice to have a rally close to home!

A. Definitely interested providing doesn’t clash with other dates!
B. Who needs celebrities!!
C. Prefer the Pizza Van/Fish & Chips, not keen on seeing animals turning on a spit 😩.
D. Anytime of year okay, preferably not during school holidays!
E. EHU useful but not essential.
Hope to receive your videos soon (Helen Moore) 😀😀

Hi All,
After some advice, thinking of setting up a Rally for the Funsters.
We are lucky to live where we live, with miles of beaches and Dartmoor on our doorstep.
As everyone knows the English Riviera is home to Devon's rich and famous and is a well known glamorous destination!

Trying to work out if:
A - There is a big appetite,
B - Would a Z list celebrity from Devon pull the masses?
C - If we did something like a Hog Roast, would everyone suddenly be vegan?
D - What time of year would be best
E - Do we need full blown facilities on a campsite or could we run of leisure batteries without mains?

As usual I am sure I will get warts and all from my fellow Funsters!!!

Simon
Has long it is not in the school holidays, wouldn't fancy driving down there then.

I would be keen on this as well
Another vote for fish & chips/pizza over a hog roast. EHU a bonus but not essential. May or June would be good for me.

We would be keen, anytime potentially.
Not worried about ehu.

Sounds like a plan though the cornish riviara a bit overrated, with all the road closures and no parking restrictions (Torbay / Paignton)
Hog roast bbq of fish n chips 👍
All depends on when.

Hurray
A rally down this part of the woods to meet members of MHF 👏👏
Seems like you’ve found another gap in the market Simon 👍

Brixham rugby club hold a few rallies each year could be one to talk to.
You’re right, and Wall Park have a rally field as long as they get notice. Some hook ups there as well.

Probably not this year but possibly next as we want to get down to Devon to see friends and also do some family history research.

At the moment we have too many family commitments to book anything.

You’re right, and Wall Park have a rally field as long as they get notice. Some hook ups there as well.
I don’t think that is current information, it was in the past. The new owners have installed many more hook ups and both fields are usually packed with vans.
However the rugby club has a bar and live bands on Friday evenings in the summer.

Linda and I would be interested depending on the date. Thanks for taking the effort.

I would also like to attend depending on the dates.

I think lots of people us included, would love to attend but as everybody says it's down to "where and when".

A - There is a big appetite, Yep there appears to be
B - Would a Z list celebrity from Devon pull the masses? Not for me chatting to other motorhomers is the draw for us
C - If we did something like a Hog Roast, would everyone suddenly be vegan? I would have to be a hard core vegan to miss a hog-roast
D - What time of year would be best – As said in other posts timed to avoid other events
E - Do we need full blown facilities on a campsite or could we run of leisure batteries without mains?, no need for hook up for us.

In summary sounds a great idea/

Watching for details👍
