My Hymer 6m A-Class will be 12 years old in summer. For the last 5 years we've looked for a new motorhome but have failed. So we've given in and decided to keep our current one - it is working OK and we don't go abroad with it.

If you have an old a motorhome beyond 12 years old I'd like to hear your wisdom on how you keeping it going.

Our lovely friend (Hymer 684) is 25 years old and still going strong, just replaced the Radiator with a ‘new’ old stock Radiator same age as the van!
He (Hymer) is up for sale now and I’m quite sad about it but I’m also excited about his replacement!

Come on, what is the replacement?

Wow. What a response!

You keep your Motorhomes in good condition - not sure I do. Partly because of my health (not covid). I should be able to go back to using the van and clean more. I will adopt an annual service before the MOT. And a 6,000 miles pa like we did before covid.

Sixteen years old and running beautifully,we had a new mattress, new upholstery, rustproofed and just general maintenance.Weve owned it for thirteen years and it's been amazing. No intention of swapping.

My garage apologised that they had to buy a genuine Mercedes exhaust in January because they couldn’t get a generic one. 2002 MH with 95k miles on the clock: the exhaust was original but it fell off 50 miles from home.
STRANGELY, we may have found a replacement van this afternoon whilst conveying my daughter to and from a hab check

We both love your van🥰🥰, I hope I can keep mine as long especially as I’ve had it all upgraded for Offgrid living.👍👍
