1st pic is vw up
2nd pic is the kia picanto

Nearly brought a picanto when we were deciding and the only thing that changed my mind was the weight as it was heavier than the aygo we purchased and where we were putting it on a trailer this was important. Won't matter for your needs though as I see you are going the AFrame route

Do like them though

Kia is the better with options provided in with the price...VW up...is quite basic and dont forget...service prices are steep for VW where as Kia ..not bad at all. £1300 for an A frame fit? Im guessing Its not a electronic one then? Cheap that...Good on you (y);)

We’ve got a VW High Up and love it. We didn’t drive the Picanto but compared it with the Toyota Aygo, which was awful. Gearbox far better on the Up. We can’t fault ours.

Have you driven both?

There are'nt many cars that don't tow well behind the truck so ...go with your gut! Both are nice cars . The Kia will be easier on the pocket to look after most definitely. The VW GT.......Its a nice choice if money is not an option...especially if you like to take your hat off occasionally and unzip the brain and become the boy racer you think you may have been? Trust me...Ive done it loads in my Abarth!! Just loved it though! The child within...always pops out occasionally! (y);)

We towed an Up for several years and it was great. However it looks like this one has low profile tyres and with our potholed roads I would avoid low profiles.
