Hi,

Could anyone advise of the best way to seal the shower tray. We are away for 3 months at a time and we always seem to lose the seal between the shower tray and cubicle wall.

Mike seems to remember that funsters recommended a product but cant remember the name. We have tried silicone sealant etc but not seem to seal permanently.

Any advice or ideas appreciated.

I would have thought that Silicone would have done it. Is the shower tray properley supported so that when you stand on it its not the sealant thats taking the weight.

Try popping into B&Q surely they will be able to give you somthing.

Sikaflex would seem to be the one that most people use. There are various types so inquire at the store for the best to use in the shower area.

Theres a selection of sealants here http://www.johnscrossshop.co.uk/cat...er/Caravan-&-Motorhome-Sealants,-Repair-Tapes but I would suggest you give Glenn or Ian a ring and have a chat with them.

If the shower tray flexes, you may need to put some more support underneath it as it should not need to be resealed every few months.

Not good for showers because you sometimes need to strip them for maintenance. Better to use a soft silicon bath seal that will peel apart.

It works the postage costs out at the end of the order, depends on the number of items and weight, maximum is £6-95 total, dont forget to put the Funsters discount code in on checkout.
