Are these models not sought after now at an age of 2007 reasonable mileage and at a price of £16,500 mot till Jan 2026
Has the market dropped that much
I haven’t had one person look at my friends van
Are others finding things aren’t selling

Nice van and good price don’t listen to the naysayers. Rust is an issue on a van this age so check the sills carefully from underneath with a screwdriver!!!
👍😁😎
Tha van and chassis is galvanised and there is no rust at all under or on any cill

There's several older Twins on Autotrader for more money, don't all look to be dealers either.

In the main there’s only one reason a marketable product doesn’t sell, its price. It can be a small matter is a few hundred quid as to gone, never going to go. When we sold our 2019 Kon tiki I reduced from what was a way over priced Motorhome (never going to sell) by £500 per week until it sold, didn’t take long to reach the sweet spot. It’s dead money sat on the drive.

13,700 on auto trader. I suppose it's just a matter of getting the right person to view it as other have said alot will be put off by the age. Some is only worth as much as someone will pay at the end of the day unfortunately

I looked at your advert as I have a new Twin and was pleasantly surprised how good it looked. I wanted to see the changes over the years.

As a buyer in that price range I was a bit petered about the ‘few jobs need doing’ with no detail it could meany anything from one extreme to the other. I also had some doubts about it being advertised for a ‘friend’ and my thoughts were is that true, is there a catch here somewhere, is it a get out if the advert was not completely correct with the details etc. after I’d bought it.

As a seller I would have heavily listed all the info to answer potential buyers questions or reasons not to bother. As said above re rust etc. You can’t take anything for granted you have to push it.

I was offering an as new, used twice, tow bar bike rack so said why it was now for sale etc in case anyone was dubious, still never got any replies, I’ll advertise it again when I get home and reduce the price too as I agree anything is only worth what someone is prepared to pay and I certainly think some of the advertised prices for all manner of things on here are too high and plucked out of the air.

Hope my thoughts are helpful PeterCarole29

Agree. Selling for a friend, although I’m sure you are, sounds a bit dodgy.
I’d get one of those mobile body repair blokes fix-a-dent or whatever to touch up the paint and take some better pictures of the outside (new wheel trims?) and take the pics near some greenery. Good luck

I'm afraid I would be in the ten grand price range if you need to sell it. There are just so many to choose from in your price range.

Yes Genuinely selling for a motorhome fun Freind
I don't mean anything by this, but if he is a motorhome fun member, why isn't he putting it on himself, that fact of selling for a friend is taking half your buyers out.
Maybe sounds hard but you are asking.

Possibly the friend is in the same situation as I?
I couldn't sell mine on here because it's impossible for me to display pictures from my phone which is the ONLY communicator I possess. 🤔

Thanks for your comments
I thought the low price would attract interest and Martin loves the van but needs to sell things change and they are not able to use it in the forseeable future for good reasons. V

Didn’t you state nobody had bothered to look at it at £16,500?
This would suggest your asking price is too high,
Perhaps £10,000 might illicit some interest.
A dealer has offered £16,000 it just feels criminal that that someone looking for a van just like this doesnt have the chance to buy it at trade price (and i dnt mean PX price) its likely it will go to the trade what do they say you can lead a horse to water but cant make it drink
ans simular recently have sold for £20,000 i have spoken to the owners

Ill see if i can get my Friend to do that as i havent mastered how to do that
Its on for sale on here and i am advertising it for Him
Hi, I not sure if this is the right place, but I am the person selling the van. I have been a member of motorhome fun for several years. I met Peter at the Oxford camping club site a few years ago. We kept in touch and became friends. I asked Peter to help sell my van due to some personal issues and I wanted and needed some help. He kindly offered to help me. Hope this helps. I please feel free to contact myself or Peter for any further information. Regards Martin

That looks a nice van and if its rust free too, a bargain. If you’ve had a trader offer £16k for it too, that confirms it.

If it were me I would try to get the small jobs done. Although they do sound simple, it could put a lot of buyers off as they might not understand or appreciate they are small. Get them fixed and add the cost to the price. So often selling second hand is about tarting them up so the new owner can see themselves in the driving seat.

Selling a vehicle with faults or needing repairs is going to put potential buyers off, this price range is people who are getting into motorhoming possibly moving up from canvas or caravans, buying something with problems isn’t a great advertisement ,if they are small jobs just get them done ,when a potential buyer looks over the vehicle you say oh it’s an easy fix… so why hasn’t it been done then?

It might sound cheap but another way of looking at it that's probably a pretty high percentage of what it cost new in 2007!
And this is the point into days market 10 year old motorhomes are on the forecourt for the same price they where new. And personal for me that's too much of a bitter pil to swallow. Some may say oh well that's inflation for you trying buying one now see how much they are. And my reply to this is motorhomes are a luxury item and as such the more they increase in price the less market there is for them it's as simple as that. Wages have not kept pace with motorhome prices

Agree with others( had many years buying and selling in the motor trade) It's the time of year people are looking for a van that is ready to use,so get it 100%.Paintwork is perceived to be very expensive and with lots of others available a lot of your potential market has gone, add to that most in that price bracket will want either PX or finance or both and a dealer warranty...you are currently aiming at a tiny target
