Does anyone know for definite what the red switch on the outer side of the passenger seat sub frame actually does? The leisure batteries are under that seat.

It has 3 settings, on, off and out. I was of the view that if turned to off then it cut all power to the cab side of electrics but I’m not sure now. Now I have no idea for certain really and the Adria manual does not explain it all, and dealers give contradictory advice on leaving it on or off in storage.

I’ve left mine on all the time presuming the solar will then charge both sets of batteries, and it does. If I turn it off I know the electric closing side door is not powered buts that’s the extent of my knowledge and I’ve not tested things to see what has and has not power.

Does anyone know for certain rather than guessing.

That switch isolates the leisure battery.
The "out" position is to remove the switch to avoid manipulation.

I’d think the out is to prevent anyone switching it back on while you’re working on it, I know it’s 12v but these kind of keys are used in factories obviously with more safety devices on top.

Are you saying the out means you can then pull the switch mechanism out to prevent anyone turning it back on lorger?

When you say ‘isolates’ Peavy what does isolation exactly cover. E.G. is the panel still powered, can the leisure batteries still receive solar charge etc.

Yes, the out position allows you to physically remove the switch and take it with you, so it remains OFF. Nothing in the van will be powered if you switch it off. The solar regulator won't have 12V neither nor the panel, nothing. I never use this switch.

Yes that’s what I would think “out” means, it’s for safety of people and system, if you turn it off to work on it and don’t want anyone to turn it back on then remove the key.

Just a quick update. I switched that red switch to OFF. It meant that the leisure batteries fid not benefit from any solar charge, only the vehicle battery did.

The strange thing was the side door electric soft close system worked and I thought that only worked from the leisure batteries.

The Adria control panel was able to be switched on and I could see the battery state of charge. The time came on but was miles out and normally is accurate if the red switch is left on.

When I put the control panel on the Truma heating control panel illuminated with a fault code, which I didn’t take note of.

I did think turning the red switch to off it would cut all power to the above, so I don’t quite understand what it does

Now I'm confused too:unsure: All this, while EHU disconnected?
The EBL knows that the leisure battery is disconnected, so probably is using the feed coming out from the solar regulator to power the panel. The soft closer is probably feed from the vehicle battery.
