Adria 12v panel

So I had maybe 5 replaced around trauma heater under seat two at kitchen tap two at bathroom tap one at pump (below fridge in mine) the three at the rear garage were replaced but continually leaked so made up the copper manifold and joined with 12 mm compression fittings to existing pipe work. Will get some pics next time I am with Van. All good now👍

Hi All

I went to van yesterday to check batt levels etc. ( pleasantly surprised that 100wPV on roof is keeping Batts up without driving every week ! )

However, having previously drained down for winter, as soon as I switched panel on, the pump started 'running on empty'.
Panel repair will cost £250 from Apuljack - so not this week !

I will need to fit a manual switch on the pump power line.

Anyone know where pump is located on Adria Compact SP (ducato) pls ?

Cheers

Not compact sp but ours is on the floor behind the bottom drawer under the sink unit.

Mines is a Matrix 670 SLT and pump lives below fridge - have to remove drawer to get to it. When it’s running, listen shouldn’t be to difficult to locate, good luck

have to remove drawer to get to it

Ok Thnaks folks

Do drawers just pull out, or there a catch to release somehow ?

I have the same problem. It's a microswitched system, but I need to leave the taps on in the centre position to avoid frost damage to the taps. I found that I could just remove the fuse for the pump. Not very convenient, but I only do this once a year, so no need for a switch just for this.

My drawer has a “ clip in” types set up- as above pupp all the way out then feel under each runner left and right your fingers kinda fall into the grip, squeeze in then pull up👍

I could get away with not repairing the panel if the pump didnt run random at night, waking me.
Is the fuse located near / on the pump itself Phil ?

Your pump will run if the system is empty if it's a pressurised system. The pump can't compress air so can't build up a pressure for it to operate the pressure switch in the pump. If it's not a pressurised system did you still have a tap open?

Taps are all open now.
I'm guessing its pressurised coz pump runs randomly. It's been suggested that I have a water leak (but no water in till spring !)

So if its not a pressurised system - what triggers the pump if it's not triggered by pressure ?

A switch in each tap operates the pump

All the Adria's I've seen have a pressure system no switches on the taps.

Cheers Lenny

So if my pump runs when taps are all shut, mine must be pressurised.

My Batteries seem happy with 100w on roof, do you think 2nd 100ah Hab would be too much in winter conditions ?

Its running cos the pump is switched on and as there's no water it will never pressurise. Once you get water in fill the system and bleed all air out till the pump pressurise the system then check all joints on the hot side as that's where its normally pressurised, its likely to be a very small dribble so maybe hard to find but look at any manifolds you may have thats where ours was on a dethleffs.

There will also be a small accumulator bottle located somewhere in the feed line after the main pump. It’s worth checking that out also.

Nice one

Thanks Folks
