On our first application we just used the address and printed confirmation of the Camping Car-Park Aire that we had booked for one night. That was accepted.
This year, we did exactly the same thing and it wasn't accepted. They wanted a reservation of at least a week. Luckily for us, they gave us the opportunity to provide a longer reservation and our visa was approved. Have no idea why it was OK one year and then not the next.
I'd be looking for a British owned campsite.
In a location you like, it then becomes your 'base'.
And make sure the owners are aware of of the arrangement.
It means that you have an EU address for Amazon, spare parts, medication etc. (Which means you don't pay UK import tax)
